This unusual gem mineral features several crystals up to 4 cm across. The large crystal is also doubly terminated ,gemmy, and lustrous, as are the smaller crystals. Pieces like this are few and far between in the mineral market and in fact I remember them coming out when I was a kid in the 1980s and I never saw one this good. Neal Pfaff, my mentor in Ohio, had a bunch of them as did Frank Melanson and some of the Mexican dealers. THIS ONE, though, is better than all I can remember seeing. It is somewhat pleochroic as you would expect of moonstone, but the effect is hard to photo and these pics simply show off the form, not the overall quality of the piece as a whole. 4.1 x 3.6 x 2.1 cm
